After high school, I went to Taiwan Normal University Department of Chemistry, then assigned to Pei-tou Middle School teaching for one year, I completed ROTC service before being accepted to The University of Illinois Department of Biochemistry and received my M.S. in 1969, went ahead to complete my Ph.D. in Biochemistry in 1971, the year before I married to my wife An-fei Chuang who received her Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Univ. of Pennsylvania; while I worked as post-doctoral job in the medical school of the Univ. of Pittsburgh, I also enrolled in the School of Dentistry, and earned my D.M.D. in 1976; then I got offer from Temple University, I taught restorative dentistry as an associate professor for 10 years, then started my own private practice as a general dentist in 1986 in Ambler-Fort Washington area, suburban of Philedelphia, my youner son, Benjamin, just graduated from Tufts Dental School last year and joined me in the Harmony Dental Center. My older son, David, graduated from Dartmouth College and received his M.B.A. from Columbia University and currently working in New York near Lincoln Center, my only daughter, Bethy, graduated from Standford University, received M.S. from Columibia University then moved to Austin Tx with her husband,Micha, and earned her Ph.D. in Biomedical Science there, now she is working in FDA in Washington, D.C.
