Contribution (s):  
Dr. Tseng spent over 10 years in USA based companies such as Lockheed, Xerox, and NRL where he held increasingly responsible
positions in such areas as system design, technical marketing and Hi-Tech enterprise management. He was one of the first groups of
researchers to return to the newly created Hsinchu Science & Industrial Park in Taiwan in 1980. There he founded Microtek International,
Inc. to design, build and market scanners. It was the first company that successfully went through IPO in 1988 and became #1 in the
world in scanner market. Dr. Tseng holds patents such as for Keyboardless Input Method. He is on the Board of Directors of many high
tech companies that form strategic alliances spanning the triangle from China to Silicon Valley to Taiwan. He serves as guest professor
at many universities, including Alberta University in Canada, City University of Hong Kong, Tsinghua University in Beijing, Nankai University
in Tianjin, Sichuan University, etc.

Dr. Tseng is a Director and Member of Committee 100 and a co-founding member of Monte Jade.

Philanthropy:  
Dr. Tseng established the Little Dragon Foundation, one of whose roles is training and nurturing executives and managers for large
businesses in China. He also introduced into China Dale Carnegie Training and Global Chinese CEO’s Fellowship, as well as software
CMMI certification, Six Sigma quality control, etc, in its efforts to dramatically enhance overall Chinese business competitiveness. In 2002,
Dr. Tseng and his wife Su-hwa contributed to the Ecological Conservancy Outreach Fund at the University of Alberta to stabilize soil
erosion in the Yangtze River region by planting trees on a large scale. He is on the Board of Trustee of Give2Asia, a US public charity
organization.
